On these pages, you’ll find everything you need to know and everything interesting about African Studies and its student council. We’re your go-to resource for all matters related to your studies, and we’re here for you whenever you have organizational questions, problems, uncertainties of any kind, or personal concerns!

Who We Are & What We Do

As the student council, we actively advocate for your interests in university committees and at the institute. Our main task is to represent students’ concerns and ensure that your voice is heard.
Since studying can sometimes be challenging, we’re also here to offer you advice and support. Whether you need help choosing courses, are having trouble with a course, or are looking for personal support—we’re here for you. If we can’t help you directly, we’ll assist you in finding the right resources.

If you have an idea or a suggestion for improving a course, would like to discuss a specific topic, or want to raise an issue, please feel free to contact us. Your wishes and ideas are important to us, and we’ll work with you to see how we can make them a reality.

Our Activities

In addition to our official duties as student representatives and our role as points of contact, we also regularly organize various events such as barbecue or movie nights, parties, small outings, and discussion groups related to African Studies. These events give you the opportunity to network more outside the classroom and to find a balance to the stresses of everyday student life.
