Esther Senayon
Esther Senayon holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and African Languages from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
As Senior Lecturer, she teaches graduate and post-graduate courses at Lead City University, Ibadan. Her research interest includes

- Language Planning
- Psycholinguistics
- Discourse Analysis
- Medical Linguistics
She has presented her research findings at conferences, in Nigeria, Ghana and Europe.
She has also published in prestigious journals such as International Journal of the Sociology of Language; International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism; Journal of West African Languages and Journal of Contemporary African Studies, amongst others.
Her current research straddles Linguistics and Medicine, examining linguistic challenges faced by migrant healthcare receivers during interactions with healthcare providers, who do not speak a common language, at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.
