Gender inequality in West Cameroon: language practices of old women – a perspective from the household

“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”
Proverbs 22:6 - the home is the basics for so many societal aspects.
This research project intends to analyze the communicative practices that help to construct household gender inequality; it focuses on the marginalization of older women and on how inequality is transmitted across generations. The project equally aims at finding out the strategies put in place by both women (especially those who have gone through same experience) and men to react to social injustice and create options for the future.
